Invitation to comic book artists: 24-hour comic book drawing this year at DIP, from November 5th at 12:00 PM, to November 6th, 2022, until 12:00 PM, in Rijeka

We invite comic book artists to apply for participation in the comic marathon: on Saturday, November 5^th, 2022 from 12:00 PM, until Sunday, November 6^th, 2022 until 12:00 PM, at the premises of the Society for Research and Support (DIP), Wenzelova 2, 1st floor, Rijeka, where a cultural event “24-hour comic book drawing” will be held – throughout Croatia at the same time. This year, a team from Slovenia, from Ljubljana, is also joining the action.’

‘The visual identity of this year’s marathon is the creation of a skilled artist from Rijeka – Athan. You can see more works by this author on his Instagram profile.

DIP has been the host of this competition for Primorsko-goranska County since 2021, https://dip.hr/odrzano-24-satno-crtanje-stripa/ and the purpose of this cooperation is to promote comics and improve the quality of the comic scene.

As we are already in our third year as organizers of the “Kvarner Colony of Comics and Illustration”, whose goal is to promote and valorize authorial comics and illustration, we proudly support this competition.

An exhibition of works created at the 1st and 2nd Kvarner Colony of Authorial Comics is also being prepared, which will be opened in early December 2022 at Exportdrvo Rijeka.
