This Data Protection Statement (hereinafter: the Statement) has been prepared in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

It refers to personal data that are collected and processed using the association’s official web site http://www.dip.hr and Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/istrazivanjeipotpora/ for the purpose of recording the members and volunteers of the Association Society for Research and Support (DIP), from Rijeka, Wenzelova 2, OIB: 78171364712; MB: 4152115.

Please read the Statement carefully to better understand what personal data we process and for what purposes.

Personal data in the sense of this Statement are considered: name and surname, address, OIB, e-mail address, IP address. The processing of personal data includes the collection and storage of personal data.

Personal data is processed in a lawful, fair and transparent manner exclusively for the following purposes:

  • response to your inquiries posted on the Association’s website
  • keeping internal records of the Association (records of volunteers, members)
  • optimizing the work of the Association’s website

By visiting the Association’s website automatically are recorded general and non-personal information (which Internet browser you used, number of visits, average time spent on our website). We store information about your use of the Association’s website for analysis purposes in order to optimize the website’s operation.

Your personal data is processed with the express consent, solely for the purposes stated in the Statement. You can withdraw your consent at any time without any harmful consequences by sending a request to e-mail: [email protected]

Upon request, you have the right for free information about your personal data that is stored, the right to access your personal data, to restrict the processing, to correct or delete your personal data. The request is sent to e-mail: [email protected]

All collected personal data is kept fairly and legally and is available only to employees of the Association who need this data to perform their work. All employees of the Association are responsible for respecting the principles of privacy and personal data protection.

Your data is not used for other purposes or given to a third party, unless otherwise required by law.

In case of violation of the right to protection of your personal data, you can file a complaint to the Agency for Personal Data Protection, Martićeva 14, 10000 Zagreb.

GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION (GDPR)

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and the Council since 27 April 2016, which has been in force in the Republic of Croatia since 25 May 2018, is a European Union directive that protects your personal data and requires to be processed in accordance with the law, under strict conditions and for a justified purpose. The persons or organizations that collect and manage your personal data must protect them from misuse and must respect certain rights of the owners of personal data guaranteed by EU law and Croatian regulations.

RIGHTS GUARANTEED BY THE GDPR REGULATION:

Right zo access. The user has the right to receive confirmation as to whether his personal data is processed or not, and where this is the case we must give them access to that data.

Right to correction. The user has the right to request the correction of inaccurate personal data and the right to add personal data that will fill in any incomplete personal data.

The right to forget. In certain cases, the user has the right to request the deletion of his personal data.

Right to limit processing. The user has the right to request a processing restriction, applicable to a certain period and/or certain situations.

Right to portability. The user has the right to download his personal data in a structured form and has the right to transfer personal data to a third party.

Right to object. In some cases, the user has the right to object to the processing of personal data, including profiling. They have the right to object to the further processing of personal data to the extent that they have been collected for the purpose of direct marketing.

Right not to be subject to automated processing of personal data. The user has the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing.

Right to lodge complaints. The user has the right to lodge a complaint regarding the processing of personal data with the competent data protection authorities (Personal Data Protection Agency).

Right to compensation. In case of violation of applicable laws in the processing of personal data, the user has the right to claim damages for the damage that such a violation could have caused him.
