According to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, states have taken steps to ensure the realization of the rights of persons with disabilities, including the right to independent living and inclusion in the community. This right is one of the basic rights that serves as a prerequisite to the right to work and other rights. Our social service programs, which we carry out in the “Daycare Center Friends”, give our members opportunities for independent living and involvement in the community, and they also prevent institutionalization. That which we lack in our work surroundings is “community” – bigger, better and faster; the more flexible inclusion of the community in exercising these rights.
That is why we invite you to support our work and provide an appropriate space for our members to receive proper training for independent living – and to help us in raising funds for a much-needed kitchen adaptation, as well as for the advancement of the work we do, through, currently, two fundraising campaigns with the same purpose:
as a company, you can always pay to our giro account: attached is the Universal donation agreement – DIP – donation agreement
As citizens, you can always pay to our giro account: Society for Research and Support, Wenzelova 2/ Rijeka, Croatia; OIB: 78171364712, GIRO ACCOUNT: ZAGREBAČKA BANKA IBAN: HR7123600001102394295
Thank you for creating a “community that cares” with us!
