In the “Friends Daycare Center”, in the program of providing half-day social services for persons with various disabilities, called “DIP’s youth club – Ready, steady, work!” various activities are carried out with the aim of developing skills for independent living and finding a job, for young persons with developmental, as well as difficulties in psychosocial functioning – for persons with disabilities.
Culinary skills are important for each of us, that’s why we cook as often as possible at DIP – with the support of volunteers, we learn to cook different things, from simpler ones, like coffee and tea, to various savory and sweet specialties.
The current kitchen has very little space, which makes it difficult for us to learn and move in it – that’s why we often cook in other rooms, since there is not enough room for all of us. We wanted a large kitchen, with a lot of work surface for slicing, chopping and other kinds of culinary works. In the photos you can see the current state and our big plan.
In order to achieve this, we need your help and support in collecting HRK 30,000.00 (EUR 3,987.29), which would ensure the purchase of kitchen elements and appliances; plumbing, electrical and ceramic works.

The new kitchen will provide us with numerous opportunities to work and learn new skills, which some of our members will be able to use in their future workplace.
