Nordic walking and care for the environment with Hotel Hilton Costabella? A positive example for other socially responsible entrepreneurs – it is possible if partners are ready for cooperation and changes, the way the Hotel Hilton Costabella certainly is!

On Monday, October 9^th, 2023, we socialized and worked with Hilton employees at our wonderful Costabella and at the Hilton Hotel.

Nordic walking along the Costabella promenade and cleaning the beach around the Hotel? Inclusive volunteering with the Hotel Hilton Costabella team? Unusual for our circumstances indeed, but a reality nonetheless! A practice that is common in the business world of socially responsible businessmen, but still rather rare in our environment, so let it be a motive for new actions and changes in the community for other stakeholders also.

Nordic walking is part of our recreational activities from the program of social services in the “Daycare Center Friends”, which we carry out regularly, and we promote it for all groups of citizens, often creating space for new positive social interactions with citizens. Care for a clean environment is part of our everyday life. This action is one of many through which the Hilton Hotel supports local communities.

This is one of the activities we carry out with our colleagues from Hotel Hilton Costabella, whose business policy supports socially responsible business. We included people who work at the Hilton Rijeka Costabella Beach Resort & Spa in our activities, in order to raise employees’ awareness to persons with disabilities’ rights and needs through socializing. Precisely because the working climate is realistically inclusive, Hotel Hilton is also our partner in a new project co-financed by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, “Tourism for Me!” the goals of which contribute to the development of inclusive tourism and sustainable development.

Hilton and Hilton Global Foundation https://hiltonglobalfoundation.hilton.com/impact supports projects implemented by non-profit organizations with members of Hilton teams, as a partner, projects that have a positive impact on the community and are linked to Hilton’s 2020 strategy – Travel with purpose: Hilton’s 2030 Travel with Purpose Goals.

This means that employees get involved in actions in the community, but non-profit organizations also get support for their actions. This year we organized an action, #travelwithpurpose volunteer activity on our Costabella promenade, where the Hilton Hotel is located, and received support.
