By participating in these actions, you directly contribute to the creation of a sustainable community and support the people we work for – persons with disabilities, in different ways.
THEME OF THIS YEAR’S CROATIA VOLUNTEERS CAMPAIGN: A small contribution for a big impact. The Croatia Volunteers event promotes the importance and benefits of volunteering for the development of society. This year we are emphasizing the UN’s 17 global goals of sustainable development. Volunteering is becoming a key need of the global momentum, in order to bring about change in the community, and is a powerful tool for mobilizing comprehensive efforts to improve social, economic and environmental conditions around the world.
According to the UN, many of the Sustainable Development Goals call for long-term changes in attitudes and behavior. Also, volunteers facilitate changes in mindset by raising awareness or advocating for change, as well as inspiring others. (https://www.unv.org/volunteerism-and-global-goals). WITH US, MEMBERS OF THE DIP, YOU CAN MAKE YOUR CONTRIBUTION AT OUR ACTION, TO ARRANGE OUR WORK-OCCUPATIONAL GARDEN, IN THE CENTER OF VIŠKOVO, May 17th, 2023, FROM 12:30 TO 16:00 PM, or, if it’s raining, come to DIP, Wenzelova 2; you will find out how Vande and Hilde are created, and help us with that.
You can decide which method suits you best:
a) You can volunteer, so register on the Volonteka, platform for volunteers, which gathers all the organizers of volunteering and volunteers participating in this great event:

b) You can bring seedlings of Mediterranean plants, shrubs and fruit trees, characteristic of the Primorsko-goranska County, garden tools (scissors, rakes, etc.) to our garden on the same day, to plant them
c) You can donate funds for our garden and our social service model of half-day stay work-occupation profile social service, and psychosocial support social service.
d) Please, publish information about the events on your social networks, the press and other channels, but also share it among friends and business partners, so that the public is informed, and also to motivate citizens to take action for change: sustainable development and the rights of persons with disabilities – the right to be included in the community and work!
