Work activities:

Sewing: this week, we prepared two types of fabric for sewing – you will find out what the final product will be soon! With this activity, our users improved their skills in handling tailor’s scissors and straight-line cutting of fabric and drawing using a stencil.

Empowerment activities for work:

Modeling activity: since we drink tea every morning, we came up with the idea of making wooden cup holders to make it easier for us to carry more cups at once. In this idea, we were supported by Professor Rifat, with whom we finally made 3 wooden cup holders! Everything we do in modeling activities, apart from encouraging the development of different skills in our users (handling a modeling saw, cutting with a scalpel, handling a screwdriver), benefits us in our daily work and makes it easier.

Social rehabilitation and social work:

This year, Christmas came a little early for us – we decided to decorate the pine tree together and decorate the DIP area. This activity encouraged the development of positive relationships and mutual interaction among members. We participated in the “Body percussion” activity held for us by our volunteer, Lucija. With this activity, in addition to exercising and being physically active, we also develop movement coordination in sync with the rhythm of the music. We decorated our wooden hangers with acrylic paints – encouraging teamwork, the development of compromises and the equal division of tasks were also encouraged.

Care and health care: since the colder days have arrived, we talked with our members about dressing in warmer and more suitable clothes and shoes for winter weather, thus protecting ourselves and our health. Of course, we emphasized that the mentioned clothes and shoes should be clean and tidy.

Food: this week, our favorite dish was pasta with tuna and tomato, prepared for us by the team leaders, Mia and Patrik, with the support of the manager. Every week we try to prepare at least one meal together, which contributes to the development of culinary skills and independence, as well as increasing self-confidence.
