We started the week by sewing our Hildas. Sewing activities positively contribute to developing patience, concentration, focus of attention and motility of hands and fingers. At fairs and various events, we are recognizable by our unique handicrafts – lavender bags, called Vanda, and octopuses, called Hilda.
On Tuesday, we dedicated ourselves to the modeling activity, and our spice holders were completed. All the products are made exclusively of wood, using different techniques: cutting with modeling saw, glueing with a wood fix, hammering nails, sanding with sandpaper, etc.
We continued our activities on Thursday, with recreational activities in the gym as part of the Jadran Rowing Club. When exercising, the exercises must be done correctly so that there are no injuries or negative side effects. Precisely for this reason, we hold recreational activities in the gym, under the mentorship of Marko Ukropina, kinesiologist, and trainer at the Jadran Rowing Club, who adapts the exercises to individual capabilities.
At the end of the week, we had a work action, to clean and tidy up the DIP, so that we could all be clean and tidy for the start of the new work week.
