Second colony of authors comics and illustrations of Kvarner

Since Thursday 7.4. until Sunday, 10.4. 2022. authors are creating their works, they are influecing each other, strenghtening author comics and illustrations, motivating young people in the aream shaping the audience, and affecting the creative industry.

Rijeka is the host of this colony again for all authors from Croatia.

On Thursday 7.4.2022. authors are coming to Rijeka, and DIP, Rijeka and Primorsko-goranska županija will be the place for gathering all authors of comics and illustrations.

After the possibility for public to see the authors from the past colony and their artwork in the gallery SKC, now we have new authors coming.

DIP will be the place where authors will create new comics and illustrations all together, and where they will share their experiences, learn from each other, give support to the younger generation and connect.The result will have more than one effect, they will create new artwork, authors will connect and plan new projects, use sharper tehniques and verify their work with others.

And this year we wanted to call all authors so we can strenghten our horizontal goals, gender equality in this area, so we have 3 female authors and 4 male ones, coming from Zagreb, Varaždin, Split and Rijeka.

Second colony of authors comics and illustrations of Kvarner

On Tuesday, 22.3.2022. we opened the second colony of comics and illustrations of Kvarner. In the exibition it’s possible to see the work of authors who participated in the first colony from 30.3.2022. from 17:00 untill 20:00, in the gallery SKC, in the street Kružna 8 in Rijeka.

We will like to thank everyone who supported this colony and everyone who came to the exibition and authors whose work is presented and those are: Damir Steinfl, Damir Stojnić, Korina Hunjak and Antonija Filipović.  With them, there were 7 more authors.

Program of the second colony of authors comics and illustrations of Kvarner was co-financed by the Primorsko-goranska županija and DIP.

From 7.4. until 10.4. a sequel follows where there will be more authors in DIP in Wenzelov 2 and creation of new comics and illustrations.

In October we have planned a new exhibition with works from the first and second colony.
