About the campaign “Distanced, but social”

As part of the 3-year program “expanding the social services network” the DIP’s Youth Club, co-financed by the Ministry of Labor, Pension System, Family and Social Policy, Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, the City of Rijeka and other donors, we are running a “Distanced, but social” campaign. The campaign includes the following activities:

1. mapping the needs of users and social service providers;
2. models of financing social services in a broader and narrower sense;
3. development and printing the manuals for advocacy of the rights of the primary group;
4. organization of series of round tables in cooperation with other social service providers;
5. organization of a public forum on improving the quality of social services;
6. establishment of a non/formal network of social service providers from Primorsko-goranska County and other parts of Croatia
7. other public presentations and public information

2021

The exhibition

The aim of the exhibition is to increase the visibility of young people with disabilities and draw public attention to their daily lives – we want to talk about social exclusion, isolation and stigmatization of people with disabilities – young people with developmental and psychosocial functioning disabilities (autism, intellectual disabilities, ADHD, etc.). Their difficulties might not always be visible, but, unfortunately, because of them they become invisible in society. The project was funded by the City of Rijeka through the Open Tender for Small Grants in 2021.
